Our Cushion Concert for Kids is a 60 minute, highly interactive concert which gives
children aged 3 -8 years the chance to get up close and personal with classical
instruments.
In between looking for Captain Pirate’s lost pirate ship, the audience will march with
Spongebob Squarepants, play a range of percussion instruments, and experience
being on the “inside” of a concert band. Some lucky children will conduct the 50-
piece band which is trained to follow the pint-sized conductors – no matter what they
do. At the conclusion of the performance, every child will have the opportunity to
play a trumpet or a trombone.
